Cake Eaters Anonymous is a social group, meeting every few months - TopicsExpress

Cake Eaters Anonymous is a social group, meeting every few months to eat cake and raise money for charity. They charge a small fee for tickets and attendees bake their own cakes to bring, with left overs being sold to raise more for charity. So far they’ve raised nearly £5000 for various charities. On Sunday 8 February, they will be hosting a Valentines themed bake off at The Ned Ludd pub on Friar Lane. Proceeds will be donated to our #ChampionsOfSherwood appeal. “Ask anyone across the world what they associate with Nottinghamshire and it will be Sherwood Forest and Robin Hood, yet for too long not enough has been done to protect, enhance, and celebrate this historic landscape and its wildlife.” Erin McDaid, Head of Communications During the event, there’s also a raffle with prizes donated from the club, supporters and local businesses. These include an organic hot stone massage from ‘The Apple Tree Organic Beauty & Wellbeing,’ Lowdham. If you fancy your chances in a bake off; make a mean chocolate brownie or just want to share the love of cake, then please join them, taking your best Valentine themed baking. Tickets are available at cakeeaters.co.uk. Bakers tickets are £3 and there is allocation for up to two ‘Bakers Guests’ who pay a higher ticket fee of £5 but who do not bring cake. There is a small online booking fee.
