Caleb has another heart cath coming up on December 8th. The cardiologist called me yesterday to say that they had gotten together with the team and they are also concerned with him desatting with any activity, even on oxygen. They had mentioned it could be these things called collaterals which Im still not 100% sure what they are but I do know, they can affect his oxygen levels. If that is the case and they are large enough, they will be coiled off to buy some more time as she put it. If not, well I really dont know. I dont know if he will be admitted as a 1A status (dear God, I hope not) or if the oxygen will be raised some. I just really dont know. Ill be going up the night before his cath and staying since he cant eat beforehand, its just easier to do it that way than having a 2 1/2 hour drive with a child that doesnt understand that hes not allowed to eat, although hes hungry. She told me to plan on him being admitted for at least one night which is really fine by me since he tends to not recover so well from these things. He gets awfully sick. Now we all wait. I have to somehow find a way to shut my mind off until then. Stop the thinking, stop the worrying, stop the crying. Its a hard task to do but Im trying my best and taking it one day at a time.
