California Do you know this woman? Investigators are trying to find relatives of this woman, who went to lengths to hide her true identity as she traveled, and was arrested, in several locations across California and the Pacific Northwest. Authorities believe her name is Rita Lang, but she also went by Brenda N. O’Neil and Brenda Victor. Her remains were found in Seattle, Washington several years ago and investigators are trying to find her family. She was originally arrested in 1977 in Sacramento for petty theft, although she gave one of her “Brenda” aliases, her fingerprints were taken and she was assigned a number that allowed law enforcement to keep track of her as she was subsequently arrested for various drug and prostitution charges. In 1979, she was arrested in San Jose, a few years later in Fresno and in 1982 she was arrested in Portland, Oregon. Then, in the 1980s, she was arrested several times in King County, Washington and started using the name Rita Lang. She was last seen alive when she was released from jail in 1988. In October of 1989, unidentified skeletal remains were found by construction workers along a fence at a freight company in Seattle. The remains have similarities to Rita Lang, and investigators believe it is her. She was between 30 and 40 years old when she died, and stood about 5’3’’. Lang had an 18-inch scar on her left arm, and tattoos on both arms. The FBI and law enforcement officials from Seattle to Sacramento are now looking for her family and friends. fox40/2014/12/30/police-seek-family-friends-of-california-woman-found-dead-15-years-ago/
