California. :) On the way to Mt. Shasta, about 50 miles south right now. Camped in a luxurious RV campground in Mountain Gate, CA that has a pool and showers and running water and indoor plumbing and electrical sockets for me to charge my phone and SERVICE for my phone and all these goodies that I took for granted my whole life which I suddenly appreciate SO MUCH after camping in the woods for the past two weeks. The past two days have been the most challenging of my journey by far. Up until that point I was traveling with more experienced travelers, IN A CAR, which provides for a much easier and more fluid experience than just Kenny and I, who have never been on the road like this before, walking around with our huge packs on, in 110 degree heat, trying to find a ride to Mt. Shasta. We were dropped off yesterday morning 60 miles south of our destination in Redding, CA, and have only moved about ten miles since then. My soul is on that mountain, though, so I KNOW I WILL BE UPON HER!!! Wish me luck finding a ride tomorrow, family. Love you all!! Oh! And! The Rainbow Gathering was so fun!! Everyone just lovin each other and appreciating each others uniqueness and individual expression and all that hippie stuff. :) feels strange to be back in the real world, so to speak. Everyone seems to be so afraid of everyone else! Especially now that we are hitchhiking, people seem to be afraid of us. Which is weird because I go out of my way to be so nice and friendly!! Even bought some candy to pass out to people at the trader joes we got dropped off at, and no one took it from me because they must have thought the girl with the cardboard sign around her neck seeking a ride had poisoned it or was going to stab them if they got too close or something.. People were even ignoring me when I would say hello to them! Im seeing that people are brainwashed to fear other people. Brainwashed to look down at the ground, avoid eye contact, avoid connection with other people, brainwashed to focus on differences instead of similarities. Anything to keep us isolated from each other, because that is the only way they can keep us under their control. If we are one huge community, we are going to realize how POWERFUL WE ARE and that terrifies those currently grasping on to whatever fleeting authority they have over us. Aint no stoppin us, though! Lovin you, family ❤️
