Call For Entries: ArtsWalk Members Show at the Pocketbook Factory, North 6th St & Washington, Hudson October 4th-October 13th Opening Reception: October 12th 4:00-8:00pm GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION 1. Artwork in all media and styles will be accepted in this exhibit. Technical requirement or other limitations may mean CCCA cannot accept all work submitted. 2. To qualify for submission you must be a current member of the CCCA. Submitting artists who are not currently members of the CCCA may purchase membership on line immediately at artscolumbia.org. Membership must be up to date to be accepted into the show. 3. Artists are encouraged to select their very best pieces –a maximum of two pieces may be submitted. A one-time submission fee of $25.00 is required. Payment can be done on line through PayPal or at the time works are submitted. Submission fee is waived for artists when they sign up to volunteer three hours of their time during ArtsWalk Members Show at the time of their submission. Volunteer opportunities include installing and de-install of exhibits, docents, promo distribution, etc. A schedule of volunteer time will be forwarded to you upon notification of acceptance of your work 4. Deadline for submitting your work is midnight, Thursday , September 12, 2013. Submissions received after this date will not be accepted. No exception. Participating artists will be notified shortly thereafter submitting confirming their acceptance 5. There are two ways to submit works- by email or CD submission. In preparing your submissions please indicate in the document the Title, Medium, Size and Price of each submitted piece and contact information. Incomplete information will exclude you from acceptance. 6. E-mail Submissions: E-mail to CCCA Gallery Director Maria Kolodziej-Zincio at timber@mhcable. Include in the subject line of your submission “ARTSWALK-MEMBERS SHOW” (please send medium size 72dpi jpegs only). 7. If mailing or dropping off a CD please mail by the due date with the above information to Columbia County Council on the Arts, 209 Warren Street Hudson, NY 12534. Please include a self addressed stamped envelope for return. No photo copies are accepted. Only digital or CD will be accepted for submission entry. 8. All artwork must be original and must be priced for sale. CCCA charges a 30% commission on sales for all work shown during ARTSWALK. All participating artists must sign the CCCA Artist Consignment Form at the time of drop off. 9. Artists are responsible for delivering their works to the Pocketbook Factory, North Sixth Street & Washington, second floor, at a time frame to be determined and picked up immediately after the conclusion of the exhibit. In the event an artist cannot bring or pick up the work during the designated time frames, it is the artist responsibility to make arrangements to have someone else do so. Due to insurance restrictions, CCCA cannot deliver work to or from the site. Work that remains at the Pocketbook Factory after the deadline date of pickup will become the property of Pocketbook Factory. Due to renovation in progress, the Pocketbook Factory is not handicapped accessible. 10. Selected artwork needs to be gallery ready, framed and wired for exhibition. No saw tooth hangers are accepted. In some cases artists may be asked to provide their own pedestals, easels or protective display box or may be required to install their own pieces should they prove to be heavy or required special handling. 11. Please attach one label on the back of each piece of artwork with your name, title, medium and price. The CCCA reserves the right to use selected artist work for PR purposes
