Call me a hypocrite. I’ll be the first one to admit it. What I’m about to tell you is exactly a case of ‘take your own advice’. Can I pose a question? What if we spent less time with gadgets, internet, television, and other distractions and more time with God? I know it’s not a revolutionary question, and many others have undoubtedly posed the same, but still I’m curious. What could we do as a body by sacrificing just a few of the hours we spend on Facebook, IM, blogs, and Twitter and contribute a little time to solving or raising awareness for the big problems of the world. My guess is this could have a big impact on the kingdom. Happy first Friday everyone. May the reality of Christ’s sacrifice be fresh in your spirit this weekend. by David Hemphill
