Call me old old school but I really like being served by humans in - TopicsExpress

Call me old old school but I really like being served by humans in supermarkets - maybe Im lazy but I just found the whole process of putting $300 worth of groceries through the checkout at woollies by myself exceptionally dull and annoying. I like a bit of trivial chit chat, I like to imagine the checkout persons real life, and when Im done with that I like to take the luxury of playing on my phone while she/ he bags up my groceries before I pay (coz ive beaten them to it by unpacking the trolley quicker than them bagging up - (just a little game I challenge myself to sometimes). So after the trauma of doing it myself and being interrupted constantly by the machine for not putting my groceries in the right spot, I headed to the car down the automatic escalator and half way down my groceries start falling out and I cant move my trolley - its cleverly stuck to the rubber flooring - I watch helpless as my apples and carrots roll down the aisle but a lovely lady comes to my rescue and picks up all my stuff for me. When I land we immediately launch into an anti- corporate giant supermarket discussion and mutually agree that we hate the whole shopping experience of Woollies. That stranger whos name I didnt catch made my day and restored my faith in humans!
