Call on the Johor State Government to take immediate steps to handle imminent floods and take a bipartisan approach towards flood relief DAP Johor calls on the Johor State Government and Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Khaled Nordin to instruct all state agencies to include Opposition elected representatives in the flood relief effort to showcase a bipartisan approach in handling the imminent flood situation in Johor. DAP Johor expresses its solidarity with flood victims everywhere in the country, especially in the East Coast states. In Johor, areas affected by the floods include Plentong, Johor Jaya, last night and in Kluang and Renggam this morning. We are deeply concerned with the possibility of a more serious flood in the days to come. In order to coordinate relief in the state, DAP Johor has decided to form a Task Force headed by DAP State Secretary and State Assemblyperson for Penggeram, Sdri Gan Peck Cheng today. The Task Force will also liaise with Johor PAS and PKR leadership to coordinate our relief effort.
