Calling all 40 something’s that need to start looking after themselves and getting back in shape. 40+ Exercise Sessions starting next Monday. Back into Shape for those approximately 40 years and over or those who do not feel comfortable attending some of the classes aimed at the fitter, slimmer, younger age group. Great classes, just a bit much when we’ve been out of the frame for so long. Next Monday 30th September, 8pm in the Gibraltar Amateur Swimming Association Clubhouse (Just like to the old days for those who used to attend). Exercise and Keep fit classes for 40 years and over and those who have allowed the kilo’s to slip on whilst they have been looking after everyone else. Old fashioned low impact aerobic moves and Bums and Tum’s. First Class Free of charge You will need to be dressed in keep fit gear or loose comfortable clothing, berkers are fine and trainers. Wearing trainers is really important as we will be doing 20 to 25 minutes of none stop low impact aerobic work, you will need a keep fit mat or a towel will do to start with as we will also be working the muscle groups that maybe we have forgotten. You will need water, but you will need to buy in on site at the GSAS clubhouse. The first week will probably run for at least and hour and a half as we will all be required to fill in a health screening form and we will spend time getting to know each other, what we are all trying to achieve from our fitness sessions and some of the exercise opportunities that we will be trying to fit into our busy lives. Let’s start once a week and then look at how we can all work together to become a little fitter, eventually I see the sessions including guest exercise instructors, exercising outdoors and using our surrounding to become a little fitter and introducing small basic equipment that we can use at home or outdoors to help us tone our muscles and use up those stored calories. Could everyone please pass this information onto friends and family and work colleagues who need to take themselves in hand, just like me. This 40 + Exercise session will be headed by an RSA Exercise to Music Instructor who specialises in seniors exercise, Step Aerobics, Aqua –aerobics and all sorts, but who has also let 10 years of looking after family and work lead to the kind of unfitness that if not addressed can start to effect the quality of our lives and our health. So please come and join me in taking steps to become fitter and healthier into the future.
