Calling all actors and thespians! The Aurora Fox is auditioning for a play that explores the life of artist Frida Kahlo. Auditions for Painted Bread, by local playwright Melissa Lucero McCarl (directed by Warren Sherrill) will happen on Nov. 19 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Aurora Fox Mainstage. Roles are available for seven, including three women and four men, ages 18-50. Schedule an audition appointment by calling (303) 739-1970. Actors of all ethnicities and body types will be considered and Latino actors are encouraged to audition. Members of Actors Equity Association will be considered for all roles, with at least two contracts available. All actors should prepare a contemporary monologue, not to exceed two minutes. Rehearsals begin January 6, 2014. Performance dates Jan. 31through Feb. 23, 2014 on the Aurora Fox Mainstage.
