Cally shares: My 2 yr old son is on the Autistic Pathway and also been diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1.. We have been to hospital today for his eye scans to check for lisch nodules.. Instead they said he was having an eye test as well.. How on earth could that happen? He is non verbal and doesnt point out things! The doctor saw him and tried to look in his eyes while he was playing with toys.,he said he wants to put drops in his eyes to dilate them so he can get a better look, he wasnt prepared to do it today, instead has given me the drops to do at home next week and take him back!!! I am really not happy with this, it has taken me 6 months to get him to come to me to change his nappy! I think this would really knock us back to square one!! What do you think? Has anyone got any suggestions? Thank you x
