Can I just say that it truly overwhelms me sometimes when I realize how many people care about my animals (like Rosie, Harriet, Sasha, etc.), and about my feelings towards them? I almost didnt post what I was feeling yesterday about going through Rosies clothes, because I figured some people would only pick out the bummer portion of it, and judge me for posting that on Christmas Day. In reality, those of you who matter most often see that my posts are just simple, true, feelings, and that even when those feelings can contain some pain, I am ultimately grateful for the experience and know that these guys continue to make me a better person. And some of you have private messaged me in the past, particularly about the chickens, and told me that some of my posts about them have made a positive impact on your life, have even made you a better person. Thank you for that. In a world where many people seem to more readily believe the worst, see the worst, and have no qualms about expressing their negative judgment, its a beautiful thing when you find people who actually do the opposite. And I needed that this week. Despite my mostly upbeat posts, this week has been a real struggle in terms of my physical health, as well as being an emotional one as I think about how much I have lost since moving here. Truly, the kindness of those near and far have made it bearable.
