This is colorful and its more truth than most of will be comfortable with but its my belief that our Nations greatest enemy is that demon called Comfort. In the Post Star this morning, a couple of pastors were arrested for feeding the homeless. Seriously - who are we? More importantly Whose are we? Are we One Nation Under God? I want to sing the Star Spangled Banner with tears in my eyes, I want to look at the flag with pride and I want to love my country and celebrate my freedom on the fourth but the truth is I feel like a parent with a derelict incarcerated child - I love you desperately, I want more and better for us all and Im deeply ashamed of who we are, I know our potential, I know the sacrifices that lead to our existence as a Nation, our freedom (now lost - given up without our even realizing it) but Id be at a loss to look our forefathers or our sacrificed military men and women in the eye and explain whats happened to America.
