Can These Bones Live?© Rabbi Kittron ben-Calev Shabbat Shalom My Friends Last week I discussed the Diaspora and the Dry Bones prophesy of Ezekiel. This week I discuss the rebirth of Israel. Part 2 In Germany in 1938 the systematic creation of those Dry Bones seen by Ezekiel began with “The Final Solution.” It happened quietly under the radar of most of the people living world wide in those days. Then World War II was over and the news came out about the extermination camps in Germany and in countries that the Nazis had raped. After the war news concerning the Jews was on every ear in the “modern” world, mostly about the problems with displaced persons and the troubles that England was having in Palestine with unauthorized Jews trying to make their way there. The Holocaust which lasted from 1938 through May of 1945 was where six million Jewish martyrs called out, ‘Our bones are dry, our expectancy has perished, and we ourselves have been cut off! That Spirit blew over the entire world and created the world wide guilt which lead to the reestablishment of the State of Israel. The house of Israel was built upon the sacrifice of six million innocent Jewish souls. Then in 1948, there was the news that proved absolutely the truth that El Shaddai, (The Mighty Almighty), truly existed and that He truly spoke through Moses, the Prophets and Yehoshua, In one day Israel became a country with a spoken language that had almost died, Hebrew. Isa 66:8 “Who has heard the like of this? Who has seen the like of these? Is a land brought forth in one day? Is a nation born at once? There is more in the Prophets which we will visit later. The question comes to mind after considering the diaspora and the Holocaust, what about the Jews of this time and across the past 45 centuries, what is their end to be? Rabbi Shaul, who you know as the Apostle Paul tells us most eloquently in his letter to the Romans. Romans 11: 1 – 5, 7 - 32 I say then, has Elohim rejected His people? Let it not be! For I also am a Yisra’ĕlite, of the seed of Aḇraham, of the tribe of Binyamin. Elohim has not rejected His people whom He knew beforehand. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Ěliyahu, how he pleads with Elohim against Yisra’ĕl, saying, “יהוה, they have killed Your prophets and overthrown Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life”? (Psa 94:14 For יהוה does not leave His people, Nor does He forsake His inheritance.) But what does the answer of Elohim say to him? “I have left for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baʽal.” So therefore also, at this present time a remnant according to the choice of favour has come to be. The Emissaries, (Apostles), including Rabbi Shaul, the 120 in the upper room and the men in Jerusalem on the Shavuot after the Resurrection of Yehoshua were the first. Then in every generation to this day there has been a remnant of Jewish believers in the gifts of Yehoshua. IT IS NOT A REMNANT ANY MORE!!! In the 20s through the early 60s there were very small “Hebrew Christian” outreaches in churches where the remnant attended. Have you seen the Messianic movement that started in earnest in 1968, the year Jerusalem was restored to Israel. All of a sudden there were “Jews for Jesus” and other what are now called “Messianic” groups. Shortly after that you had the first Messianic Synagogues. And now there is a Messianic congregation in most cities and many cities have several. You say Rabbi, you still have not answered the question. What of the other Jews who are not like you and Rachael? Shaul continues: What then? Yisra’ĕl has not obtained what it seeks, but the chosen (Remnant) did obtain it, and the rest were hardened. (Rom 11:8) As it has been written, “יהוה has given them a spirit of deep sleep, eyes not to see and ears not to hear, unto this day.” ….. This is not a voluntary thing on their part there is a purpose in their rejection of Yehoshua to this day. (Isa 29:10 Deu 29:4; Isa 6:9; Jer 5:21; Eze 12:2) Rom 11:25 -26 For I do not wish you to be ignorant of this secret, brothers, lest you should be wise in your own estimation, that hardening in part has come over Yisra’ĕl, until the completeness of the gentiles has come in. And so all Yisra’ĕl shall be saved, as it has been written, Isiah 45:17 Yisra’ĕl shall be saved by יהוה with an everlasting deliverance. (Isa 59:20) “And the Redeemer shall come to Tsiyon, and to those turning from transgression in Yaʽaqoḇ,” declares יהוה, “As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” said יהוה: “My Spirit that is upon you, and My Words that I have put in your mouth, shall not be withdrawn from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” said יהוה, “from this time and forever.” Yahveh said through Moshe, Isiah Ezekiel, Jeremiah and verified through Rabbi Shaul says ALL ISRAEL SHALL BE SAVED. HE DOES NOT SAY EXCEPT FOR... HE SAYS ALL. Isa 46:10 - 11 declaring the end from the beginning, and from of old that which has not yet been done, saying, ‘My counsel does stand, and all My delight I do, ... Indeed I have spoken it, I also bring it to pass. I have planned it, I also do it. Put another way, Yahveh says that whatever he desires he will do. This is not a one verse wonder, there are many Scriptural witnesses to this: Job 23:13, Psalm 115:3, Psalm 135:6, Isiah 14:24 – 27, Isiah 55:9 – 11, Ephesians 1:9 – 11 and there are many more. Next week I will post the final part of this essay. As usual, I welcome your remarks and comments either positive or negative. Shabbat shalom, Rabbi Kitt
