Can we please play a quick game of what cross could he be? Likely born on a PMU farm, allegedly marked on his auction card as percheron/qh according to previous owner. I am highly skeptical of him being QH cross. He is wild bay (the tan on his lower legs has faint zebra striping as well) and displays both pangare/mealy (nose, eyes, armpits, flanks, belly, legs) and rabicano (skunk tail and roaning that starts at the flanks and does not reach his neck or legs). Part of my disbelief that he is QH/Percheron is due to the fact that pangare/mealy and rabicano are not colour traits found in those breeds. Rabicano is supposedly quite common in Morgans, however. He moves like a Morgan and is similar in build to a ranch-bred Morgan that was at a previous barn. I am tempted to suspect Belgian or Haflinger as the other half due to the presence of the mealy colouring in places that are often lighter on those breeds. He sticks at just a hair under 14.1hh, wears a 26 collar (or 27 with a pad under it), is built like a tank and tapes at approx 1250lbs when he is in peak condition (aka when hes not fat). Im interested to hear what others think he could be. I have been calling him a Morgan/Draft cross, or a Cob [type].
