Can you advise this mom? I am really hoping your community can help...I am at a total loss and hit bottom today. I yelled at my two year old for not sleeping. I know its my problem but I dont know how to fix it. As of two months ago, I could put him in bed after stories, kiss him, say goodnight and leave the room. He might cry for a few minutes and then go to sleep - same at nap time. Then he got sick, and we went on vacation in quick succession (both of which meant that I was sleeping with him). Now if I try to get him to fall asleep on his own, he screams and cries like he is panicked, and for a lot longer than before. I lie down with him to fall asleep, then get up and leave his room, but it seems like he is getting more dependent on my presence and so half the time when I try to get up to leave he wakes up and starts crying/screaming. He is getting so sensitive that when I try to roll over with my back to him he will often wake up and cry. For my own sanity this cant go on, and were expecting another baby in about a month, and I have no idea what I will do when he gets here. Hopefully that is enough info to get some advice from your community (I learn a lot from reading other peoples questions and answers. Thanks for providing the space!)
