Can you help? On Feb. 18, 14 Codys fiance Rebekah was in a horrible car accident on her way to work. She was hit by a semi. She suffered multiple facial fractures, multiple skull fractures, swelling and bleeding of the brain. Rebekah spent many days in the SNICU on a ventilator. She has since been taken off the ventilator, but had to have a tracheotomy. Due to this, Rebekah can not speak, write, or walk at this time. We do not know what to expect in her recovery process, although she has amazed us thus far. She just recently remembered Cody. This is why we need your prayers and help. Just before this accident, their furnace went out. Cody was in the process of trying to get it fixed when all this happened. He dropped everything to go to her bedside. He has put everything on hold during this crisis. Since this tragedy, the water pipes have frozen and some broken. Their only vehicle was totaled in this accident. It literally took everything they had to make it with two incomes! He needs help, plain and simple. This is a list of what you would be helping to fix, in order of priority: #1 Replace their furnace. It has already been inspected and told repair is not possible. #2 Fix or Replace the water pipes that have burst during this time. #3 Assist on a short term basis with meals while hes at the hospital with her on weekends (some family members are trying to do this now, but things are tight for them as well) #4 Assist with gas and/or rides to and from the hospital, which is approximately 100 miles (one way) from their home on the weekends when hes not working. Were just trying to help Cody take care of a few things that are basic needs. He thanks God daily for letting Rebekah survive. He continues to pray daily to bring her home to him, so they can marry as they planned. We know times are tough for everyone. Anything you can do is a HUGE help.
