Can you skip your Starbucks and donate $5??? Arturo has been diagnosed with stage II lymph node cancer, and has started chemo today, July 15, 2013. He will have chemo for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week - two weeks to recover - repeated schedule for 4 rounds. Due to the aggressiveness of his cancer, 6 weeks after his last chemo treatment (End of October), he has to have an additional surgery called an Retroperitoneal lymph node dissection, or RPLMD for short- at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center NYC. The RPLMD is a very invasive surgery that takes approximately 6-8 hours to preform and 3-6 months to recover from, with only a few qualified surgeons able to perform it. Please keep Arturo in your prayers as he goes through this rough time!!
