Canada - What triggered this is years upon years of Canadas unions hopping into bed with corporate management between collective agreements under the guise of cooperative unionism that led to the sellouts of their union members between labor agreements. The corruption that eventually intrenches itself eventually leads to more corruption, crime and organized crime. In the USA this led to de-unionization in a big way. In Canada the process was very slow but non the less present. In turn all Canadian Governments threatened and carried out some agendas to coral unions knowing from watching what they could get away with and when. In the public sector that is now being threatened but not without unprecedented growth in empire building by the employer who now wants to make a show of threatening what they built and can take apart and then also putting more controls on the rest all the while unions have been a corrupt control structure for them and now governments seeing unions sell their members down the river between collective agreements are quite prepared to take over those rolls themselves. It is going to be interesting to see how much the Harper Conservative Government majority government are going to succeed with their anti-union agendas before federal elections again take place in 2015. If unions are going to protect its members they have to do more than fear mongering to change how they look which comes to being anti-union member between collective agreements otherwise everything will be moot in damage done and pwoers re-distributed toward management on a scale that also will take years to change to anything more reasonable. As for Canadas public service unions. they are the cruelest joke of all who like the parasites they are treat taxpayers as little more than feedstock using taxpayers dollars to preserve jobs that have questionable existences or continuing uses.
