Canada (we) should be keeping a close eye on this, with a mind on protecting our sovereignty, natural resources, and our access. Our Navy should be better prepared (lost both supply ships and lost 2 out of 3 destroyers this year alone), and our Air Force should be looking at a fighter with two (2) engines (not the F-35) that could still come home from an engine failure in the artic. Not many places you can land a carbon composite jet in a vastly uninhibited area when its only engine fails.
