Cancellation of Severe Weather Warning for people in the Metropolitan, Mid North Coast and Hunter forecast districts Issued at 9:48 pm EDT on Monday 18 November 2013. Weather Situation A low pressure system near the Mid North Coast, expected to move offshore overnight. The Severe Weather Warning for the Metropolitan forecast district and parts of the Mid North Coast and Hunter forecast districts has been cancelled, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: Keep clear of fallen power lines. Dont drive, ride or walk through flood water. Keep clear of creeks and storm drains. Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road. For emergency help in floods and storms, ring your local SES Unit on 132 500. No further warnings will be issued for this event. This warning is also available through TV and Radio broadcasts; the Bureaus website at bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 218.
