WHAT YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE Much of what we fear losing, we really dont need but just desire to have For if God our Father be for us, we really have no need to fear For He has become our everything in this world Do not fear losing what you cannot keep forever Never fear losing what you once lived without Never fear losing what man gives Do not fear losing anyone who does not care losing you Do not fear losing a liar, they may not be what they said they were anyway Never fear losing a cheat, they have no respect and appreciation at all for you Never ever fear losing a gossip, however useful you find them Never fear losing an arrogant friend, their pride is their only possession of value Do not fear losing an ungodly friend, if he cannot acknowledge your God, who were you to them? Do not fear to lose a man or woman in love with themselves, you will always have to worship them to keep them interested Do not fear to lose material possessions, they are the easiest to recover when grace returns Do not fear losing a man or woman more obsessed with looks than character, they are shallow anyway mostly intellectually bankrupt At the end of the day, if it can be lost it never was yours If it can be disloyal it is not worth your trust If it can be proud it can only be happy with itself If it can be bought it is cheap indeed, and If it can cheat it belongs to everyone else, not you alone Because many do not understand this principle They end up studying for qualifications they do not need Because they fear being outdone They drive cars they hate and cannot afford Because they fear being despised They live in houses they do not enjoy Because they fear being labelled poor They marry people they do not love or can tolerate Because they fear rejection or being labelled single They wear clothes that do not even look good on them or inappropriate for their age Because they fear insignificance Who said joy, fulfillment and worth flow from possessions and achievements? Didnt The Lord Jesus tell us that life consists not of what we possess? Doesnt the Book of Ecclesiastes tell us that without purpose all is vanity? Doesnt nature teach us that God covers with glory what He is pleased with? Set yourself free from any form of fear By only holding on to what you cannot lose And by appreciating all God gives you However little or less it is compared to what He gave someone else For such attitude is greater than wealth indeed And more fulfilling that material possessions It does not matter what people call you What matters is who God says you are It does not matter what they think you lack For at the end of the day you have everything God says you have Even if most of it is unseen for a while For without the eyes of faith Without the heart of love Without the mind and attitude of hope The living are as good as dead As the Bible teaches about hope: Even though the lion is king of the jungle Yet a live dog is better than a dead lion What is then the conclusion of the matter! What really is the point to these words? Here is the gist and essence of what I am saying: What you cannot afford to live without is GOD OUR FATHER For you are really nothing without HIS LOVE And deeply wretched without HOPE IN HIM Yours is a life of misery without FAITH IN HIM For truly I say to you, though everything else can go and be gone What we cannot afford to live without IS WHAT GOD ALONE GIVES For anything man gives, MAN CAN TAKE But what God gives, NO MAN, SATAN OR DEMON CAN TAKE As they have no power to REPOSSESS WHAT NEVER CAME FROM THEM I pray the PEACE OF GOD UPON YOU I proclaim THE GRACE OF HIS SON, LORD JESUS UPON YOUR LIFE I declare the FELLOWSHIP OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT TO BE WITH YOU FOR WHEN EVERYTHING ELSE IS GONE YOU WAKE UP TO REALIZE THAT MOST OF THEM ARE REMOVED BY GOD BECAUSE THEY CLOUD YOUR VIEW OF HIM THEY MAKE YOUR WALK WITH HIM SHALLOW AND SUPERFICIAL AND ROB YOU OF THE JOY THAT HIS ETERNAL FRIENDSHIP OFFERS YOU If you keep trusting God and pursuing His dreams for your life You shall wake to realize that what presently troubles you Has been working at strengthening you for the future and purpose God has in store for you FEAR NOT WORRY NOT CRY NOT, AND WIPE AWAY YOUR TEARS THE ONLY FRIEND YOU REALLY CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT HAS PROMISED NEVER TO LEAVE NOR FORSAKE YOU ANYWAY HIM YOU CAN NEVER EVER LOSE NOT EVEN TO DEATH OR DESTRUCTION FOR HE LIVES FOREVER MORE AND NEVER STOPS TO PRAY FOR YOU PEACE TO YOU Todays Meditation Hebrews 10 9 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. 35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. 36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37 For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.” 38 And, “But my righteous one will live by faith.
