KNOW YOUR CANDIDATES FORUM By James Crowder Midwest City-Del City NARFE Chapter 946 will hold a Know your Candidates Forum and Indoor Picnic on August 8 in the Del City Community Center, 4505 S.E. 15th in Del City. Picnic lunch will be served at 11 a.m. Speaking will start at 11:45 a.m. unless the lunch service is over sooner. Candidates should arrive at 10:50. This will allow them to visit with the attendees and to eat before attendees start their lunch. The candidates will eat without charge. All others will be charged $7.00 each. The reason for the charge to the event is to help cover the rental of the large room where it will be held. We had a real good crowd two years ago, around 200, and since there are more major races this year we expect a bigger crowd this time. However, the big room we have this year can handle the crowd just fine. The Community Center is on S.E. 15th between Sunnylane and Sooner Road. It is on the north side of the street. If you are on I-40 you can exit on Sunnylane and then go south to S.E. 15th. Turn left or east onto S.E. 15th. The Center will be on the north. Or, you can exit at the S.E. 15th St. exit, make a right turn going west, and the Center will be on the north. The runoff primary election will be on August 26, and the general election will be held on November 4th
