Candidates Forum – 23rd Congressional District Candidates, Martha Robertson and incumbent Tom Reed were invited to a forum in Big Flats, NY on October 6, 2014 to answer constituent questions on Social Security, Medicare, and other safety net programs. Despite the fact that Tom Reed was given first choice of dates and despite the fact that he had over 2 months advance notice, he was not able to attend. Martha Robertson graciously accepted the invitation and stated her support of these programs and how she would work to improve and enhance them. In his absence, Tom Reed’s voting record on the issues was read. He has voted multiple times against these programs. See Alliance for Retired Americans website for full details of his voting record.
