Candidates ‘selected’ for teacher posts demand appointment orders Mudasir Yaqoob Srinagar, Nov 10: Around seventy youth “selected for general line teacher posts” Monday staged a protest demonstration at press enclave here, demanding issuance of their appointment orders. The protestors raised pro-justice slogans and urged the authorities to issue their appointment orders without any further delay. We were selected by SSB for general line teacher posts in May this year. SSB has forwarded the selection list to concerned authorities who have so failed to issue our appointment letters, said the protestors. They said that authorities are reluctant to issue them till the model code of conduct (MCC) is in force in the state. General administrative department and election commission has also written to the authorities that appointment orders can be issued to the candidate already selected by the competent authorities before MCC came into force, they added. They appealed higher ups to intervene into the matter as the authorities have failed to issue their appointment orders for past five months. #malikabid
