#CannedHunting is big business in Africa. If youre considering traveling to volunteer at some organisation that charges big money for you to hand-raise lion cubs that have been orphaned and will be released back to the wild, research it very well. It is most likely thatt the organisation is part of the chain in canned hunting. They will take the cubs as soon as theyre born from the lioness so that she goes into heat again to produce another litter. Three per year. Just like a house cat. The cubs will be hand-reared so that theyre habituated to humans. When theyre weaned, the cubs are used for walk with lions programs and when they get too big, they are sent to canned hunting camps to await their death by bullet or compound bow, sometimes taking six or more arrows to die. These lions are not afraid of human beings so they dont run. Please watch this non-graphic video and write to your government. Lions are NOT on the CITES endangered list because wealthy trophy hunters are keeping them off it.
