Cannington Armed Robbery - Regional Investigations Unit officers are seeking the public’s assistance with their investigation into an armed robbery in Cannington on Wednesday, 8 October 2014. At about 8:30 pm, a man wearing a balaclava and armed with a knife entered a fast food outlet located on Albany Highway in Cannington. The man threatened a staff member with the knife. He was given a sum of cash before leaving the store on foot. The offender is described as being 40 to 50 years of age, approximately 160 cm tall, with a slim build, fair skin and long dark hair which was tied into a ponytail. He was wearing dark coloured pants and a jumper and a blue beanie with the eyes cut out of it to make a balaclava.
