Cant possibly described today, Saturday, in a single post. But here goes, firsthand, Purdue is beautiful, and I imagine that this exact time of year is its peak. Second, the atmosphere of a college game LIVE is in and of itself impossible to put into words, one MUST experience it. To hear both of these schools bands play live and in such a venue is AWESOME. Yeah we won by a lot, but it was exciting. We sat w our 14 and 90% around us were pure BUCKEYES, but directly behind n front were Purdue peeps, and we ALL enjoyed each others company, but when the Best Damn Band in the Land formed a living T-Rex and ATE a supposed Indiana University IU student, I Hi-5vd a Boilermaker behind us and our whole section cheered like teenage girls. Tailgaiting was super cool as I had steak and 33 different other things, the colors and the smells and the electric that we call life were abundant and free flowing in Americas Heartland today, and I took a Saturday off to experience it. A tear rolls down my face as I ponder that it only happened, this WHOLE day happened because of what I did one fall day back in ninth grade.( for me anyway) cause one lunch period, way back 25 years ago...I being me, saw the new kid at school, all by himself at a lunch table, eating lunch by himself, and I go over to him and simply say hi, Im Artie, me n my friends set over here, we talk bout cars, burp, Fart, and lie about what we DIDNT do last night and with that, I made a life long friend , and truly gained a brother, and made today, all 457 miles, 29764 calories, and 19 hours possible. With that, remember to set clocks back an hour, cherish yer friends and maybe make new ones, and most of all, Peace and Love from Ptown.
