Cant stand this dude but he does have a point here AAU is killing our sport and making into a cash cow they not teaching da fundamentals da game unlike european players.. Finally someone who understands. Euros slow the game down and use fundamentals, Americans while usually being more athletic, arent focused on the more fundamental skills of the game. As a high school basketball player myself, from birth were taught to look at a flashy way of basketball that gets on highlights on Sportscenter and we try and mimick that. So in America, the tallest, the most athletic kids with natural talent are the ones who make it to the NBA regardless the amount of skill they have (note the difference between Talent and Skill). Whereas, in Europe, players are more skilled cause they are taught to do a variety of things, for example a PG in Europe could play as a big man if he was taller and a big in Europe can play as a PG (not perfectly but you get the idea).
