Captain America 2.... went in without much expectations, but turned out good (not super, but good)... Cap really didnt have much to do in Avengers, so it was good to see him here... Scarlett as Black Widow provided the perfect balance.. both are good looking too... I felt the Falcon character was a big weak point as it is not believable how this guy is able to dodge heavy artillery with just a modified silly pair of wings and a jet pack. The story is quite dense, and at times it felt rather James Bond-ish, with its stress on spies, counter-intelligence and SHIELD (like QUANTUM in Bond movies). And after a certain point, you dont question how the heroes are never injured or how they survive catastrophic explosions without any damage to their bodies or suits... Samuel Jackson and esp Robert Redford were superb. And loved the epitaph seen in the end; a straight lift from a wonderful Quentin Tarantino movie. Its also good to see how Marvel is maintaining a distinct feel in their superheroes.... Iron Man is the most charismatic with futuristic technology, Thor is mythology (and inseparable from Loki), and Captain America is about retro and integrity. There are references to Bruce Banner, Tony Stark, etc but sadly no cameos. Overall, a good movie, though the ending was not as thrilling as the beginning.
