Captain Vikram Batras name and deeds were politicized the day his mother got a ticket from Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat by the virtue of being his mother. Else I dont see any other achievement or claim to fame of Smt Kamal Kant Batra which merits a Lok Sabha candidature from AAP for her. Now, claiming that Modi is politicizing the sacrifices of a martyr if foolish. Afterall, was it a crime to invoke the name of a martyr of whom the whole nation is proud of? If the name of Captain Batra was not invoked then the same media would have blamed Narendra Modi for ignoring a martyr in his hometown and talking only about himself. Dont know what has gotten into the heads of our journalists or how much has gotten into their pockets that they are making non-issues as issues. That someone proudly invoking the name of a martyr is branded as an opportunist Thankgod, the penetration of English media is only about 0.08% of the population. Imagine if the coverage was more dense then what would have happened.
