Captains Log: Stardate 05052014 We believe we have reached the first federation space station in some time, but we could not hail them. Under the situation, we sent a forward team in a shuttle aboard the station. In the docking bay, we found a survivor by the name of Michael Wenman, repeating over and over The End Approaches. Checking the stations logs revealed the following: (5) Hours ago, the station radios started receiving nothing but static from the planet below. (4) Shortly afterward, an EMP disrupted all but the shielded systems controlling the stations life support and critical systems. (3) After a frantic rush, most of the stations systems are back on line. (2) Long range scanners detect an incoming ship from the planet below. (1) The ship does not respond to messages as it approaches the station from the planet. (0) Automated systems have just allowed the ship to dock with the station. This multiform game combines miniatures and atmospheric roleplaying. A scale model space station and orbital shuttle will act as the centrepieces of a game where threat both physical and psychological threaten to destroy the last known survivors of humanity. All players of The End Approaches will be given a free PDF copy of the Deep FUBAR game rules or have the option of purchasing the paperback version at half price. A hardback copy will be awarded to the best player at the end of the convention.
