Car ride and first trip to the vet, the rescue kitty was exceptional. For the first half of the trip he just sat on the car seat and rode along but then he got curious and wanted to walk around so I put him in a small carrier. He was very calm at the vet and just sat and waited for his treatment. He got cat treats for his good behavior and snarfed them down like they were his last meal until at one point the vet gave him a shot at the same time he got a cat treat. Somehow he made the connection between the sting on his butt and the cat treat to where he no longer wanted to even be near a cat treat. This shows hes highly intelligent and trainable. All the staff at the vets remarked on what an unusual kitten he is. Very calm and contemplative. An old soul. Upon our return to the car, he jumped in and jumped right back into his carrier, like he knew where he belonged.
