Career Change ----------- I currently work for the public - TopicsExpress

Career Change ----------- I currently work for the public service and I have been very lucky to get permanent work. On the downside, I have numerous qualifications and the job is not using any of my skills or experience. Most of my skills and experience is in teaching, education and counselling, yet my current job is just pushing papers, and it is unlikely that anything else will open up in the public service at the moment that is more relevant. Im afraid that if I dont use the skills, experience and qualifications that I have, I might lose them and never be able to get another job elsewhere. So I am thinking of leaving as I am extremely bored and dissatisfied in my current role. Does anyone have any advice for me? Should I suck it up and stay? Or should I find something more relevant? I hope to start a family in 2016 so maternity leave and flexible arrangements are the main things on my mind and need to be considered.
