Title: Sr. Community Support Coordinator Work Location: East Hartford, CT Rate of Pay: $16.25 per hour Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, daily schedule based on programmatic need 2nd shift, including evenings, weekends and on-call as scheduled Summary The Sr. Community Support Coordinator provides directs oversight of continuous residential supports program. S/he provides outreach services to individuals with disabilities, assisting individuals in daily living skills to achieve greater independence and self-fulfillment. Required Skills The ideal candidate must possess strong organizational and creative abilities and effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently in a team environment and be flexible to meet program needs. Demonstrated broad range of interpersonal skills to work with program participants, community households, and other professionals. Ability to teach individuals daily living skills. Knowledge of and respect for diverse populations is required. Education, Training, and Experience High School Diploma or GED with five years related experience OR Associate’s degree with three years related experience OR Bachelor’s degree with one year related experience. Supervisory experience desired Other Requirements Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, use of vehicle, and willingness to transport program participants in a personal vehicle. Desire to do meaningful work and make a difference in someone’s life a must. Bilingual/bicultural experience is an asset.
