Caren shares: Im getting ready to apply for social security benefits for my 18 year old son who has mild/moderate autism. When we applied a couple of times years ago they turned my son down maybe because of income. I have a meeting in August and I am dreading it because the paperwork is ridiculous and then I feel like they just want to turn you down anyways. I know my son desperately needs it, he wont be able to work a regular job if any in his lifetime. He has many issues that make it really difficult. Any suggestions that will help the interview process? Thanks in advance.
