CaringBridge update from earlier Apr 25, 2014 11:59 AM Last night we had a meeting with The Make a Wish foundation, what a great foundation!! Collin for the longest time wanted to meet Selena Gomez for a wish, but just recently (in the past week) He changed his mind to going on a cruise....somewhere warm he said. Since he cannot travel so far away from the hospital with his LVAD, we are waiting till after heart transplant to take this trip. Collin picked the Caribbean. Collin had a really really good night sleep last night and slept super hard! This morning he was again a little sassy, and wanted to know what took me so long to get there. I told him that I had to wait for the shuttle to pick me up and he said that is not a excuse and I need to be here no later then 8am! This morning Collin ate breakfast for the first time in a long time (which is great) we went to the cafeteria and he ate great! After breakfast we went outside and he wanted to sit on a slide and feel the sun on his face (his words: now I really cant see.....the sun is so bright!) It was still chilly so he decided to go inside and wait till it got warmer. OT and PT went great and Collin was again tired by the end, but worked hard! Collins INR is looking good and going up nicely! Acute Rehab came in today and talked to us about Collin coming over. They are excited for him to come over to see them! Their plan is for Collin to come over next week and his words with the way Collin is already going he could be out of the rehab facility and back home in a week!!! On top of that Collin told them that he can see when he waves his hand in front of his face! GOD IS GOOD!!!! Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers, keep them coming...they are working!!!
