Interesting that he became a vegan in 1990, and that he was 35 years old in 1996 when took his last Olympic gold medal, and without getting into a drug test debate, they never found anything other on Carl Lewis than minor traces of a cold medicine, not a big deal. Other than the possibly unfair drug speculations of course one could say that Carl Lewis was such a great talent that it probably wouldnt have made much difference what he ate, but at least it shows that this way of eating doesnt have to be totally incompatible with great athletic achievements.
