Carla comes back to us just a little bit, every day. Its a fascinating thing to watch, if you can be objective about it. But even recovery has its problems. Shes beginning to comprehend just how seriously injured she was, and it is weighing on her. She also wants very much to go home (which is NOT close to happening), even though she cant tell you where home is. Who can blame her, after a month in the hospital? Shes got a good ways to go before she can go home, and its doubtful she could live alone. Shes still at times very confused. At around 7 p.m. tonight I told her I would need to head home soon, and she asked if it wouldnt make more sense to wait until its light outside. She is pretty bored, so if you can stop by to visit, I know she would really appreciate it, or at least give her a call at 512-407-2301 and say hi.
