Today in #1972 Pink Floyd began rehearsals for a wee album called The Dark Side of The Moon which they would then perform to a packed out Brighton Dome filled with critics on 20th January, where it received nonchalant reviews such as it brings tears to the eyes (The Times). In 2013, The Dark Side of the Moon was selected for preservation in the United States National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress for being deemed culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.
