Carlos is a 2 year old pit mix at the Manhattan shelter in need of our help tonight. Please share and advocate for Carlos because he is on tomorrows euth list. We need to find a foster or adopter before his time runs out.. A volunteer writes: Hellllooooo handsome! What a hunk! Carlos is gorgeous in his black and white gleaming coat; his feet and nose are sprinkled with freckles to pull it all together. His nails are trimmed, his weight A volunteer writes: perfect for his size; he was clearly someones cherished companion before joining us as a stray. Stunning! He peed enough to raise the Hudson River by 5 inches the moment we got outside, so I would say hes housebroken! I put a coat on him as it was a cold evening and we had a nice walk to the park. He pulls a bit on the leash, but nothing that isnt manageable. Off leash in the backyard his first priority was giving the premises a thorough sniffing; his tail wags as he sniffs the dogs that have been there before him. Hes finally ready to play and happily chases a ball, bringing it back but not having the release part of it down yet. I can put my hand on the ball while its in his mouth without issue. He leans in for petting, happy to be cuddled, and snorting while we hug. I love a dog who snorts! As much as Carlos welcomes affection, hes still a bit on the shy side so needs to be the one initiating the contact. Hes a solid dog, awesome personality, fun, sweet and loving who would love a home with an endless supply of tennis balls and love. You bring the love and well send you home with a couple of tennis balls to get you started on your way to forever with Carlos. Hes an amazing dog ready to start a new life. Ask to meet him today!
