Carol and I have participated in these studies.June 18, 2014 Dear Friends, As we head into summer, we wanted to get you up to date on all of the exciting developments both inside and outside of the laboratory and the clinic. It was a busy spring here in Boston. The book based on our BCG conference (held in London this past October) was published last month, and we are excited to speak with a growing number of researchers who are interested in trials using BCG to reverse or prevent autoimmunity. And what about our Phase II BCG trial? While you are (hopefully!) at the beach, we will be putting the final touches on the clinical trial design. We are hopeful that the first patients will be receiving BCG this year. We have raised over $18 million now for this trial, but need another $7 million to complete it. For our European friends, we will be presenting at the EASD meeting in Vienna this September. Stay tuned and, of course, thank you for all of your support.
