Tiffany Maxwell is probably the most influential movie character of my lifetime. Shes an example of someone with a mental illness experiencing love. This movie made me feel beautiful and accepted and understood in a way that nothing else in the media ever has. They didnt demonize her. They put her, along with Pat, on a pedestal as something quirky to be admired. And I have the deepest gratitude for that. Silver Linings Playbook is a movie that has changed my life in so many ways. And I think its an incredible gift for the mentally ill to see a love story about US for once. We arent the crazy exes. Were the main characters. And its about damn time.
