Cassava gumanana yucca manioc - my favorite super food that is use in Lasus (soup), fried as chips, and even dessert such as Dani and plastic pudding here in Belize. Popular for cassava bread Ereba, Farina & Sahau in the Garifuna culture. Starchy dehydrated powder is called Toloma in the West Indies (thickening agent) and other countries love it as tapioca as far as Taiwan and the Philippines. I have seen it as Cassareep in Guyanese pepper pot where it is used as a preservative (bitter cassava root) containing cyanide!
