Today I issued cheques worth Ksh. 9.8 Million to 118 Traders in Tharaka Nithi County at our County Headquarters. This is in the trade loans programme introduced by the county government to assist traders in the county boost their businesses. The loans are are going to be repaid at an interest of 8% per annum. 60% of youth applied while unfortunately people living with disabilities shied away from these loans which we encourage them to apply. There were 237 applicants while only 118 succeeded with 41.1% being women, 54.9% men while 4.0 are groups
