Cast your care upon Him Verse to meditate : 1 Peter 5:6-7 « Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you» Comment: Regardless all the problems you’re facing at the moment, the Word of God says that there is a mighty hand of God that is ready to exalt you in due time (His time) but there is a condition: You need to humble yourself under that mighty hand. Being humble means to recognize that we cannot make it without Him and to put all our trust and expectation on Him and Him alone. The last part of the verse is more encouraging because it urges us to cast ALL our care upon Him for he cares for us. I’ve realized that most of the time we come to God in prayers but we keep our care upon us and not upon Him. If you spend your day worrying about your problem in trying to find a solution in vain, it simply means that you kept your care upon you and not upon the Lord. You’ll know that your care is no longer on you when peace will fill your heart and when you’ll have the conviction that the Lord is working on it. The mighty hand of God is often blocked by our worry and our lack of confidence. Just do what you can and let God do what you cannot. He will inspire you, guide you, enable you and guess what? All the glory should come back to him and him alone.
