Cat people and rescue folks, do you have any advice? Little January (5 month old foster) isnt doing well. Shes at the vets at least once a week. Shes had constant URIs since she was found at 4oz, and has been on every med we can think of. She was a bottle baby and we didnt think shed make it. Her poor eyes are scarred over from numerous eye infections, she goes into 20-30 minute sneezing fits where her nose bleeds like crazy (and I have to pull out mucus ribbons as long as my fingers), shes so congested she sounds like Darth Vader, and now her little Mohawk is staying up (she looks like a hyena with a round head!) and shes really lethargic. Plus, last time she went to see the vet, some guy insulted her by telling her she looked like Lil Bub! Im really worried about her. Weve tried everything, but she has a constant URI, and frequent eye infections so bad that I have to use a compress to warm her eyes open, and then make sure all the puss drains out. The cataracts on the eyes are pretty thick. I use a humidifier for her at night, but she smells horribly like phlegm. Also, her anal glands have to be expressed every week, and today they began to drip blood. Shell go to the vet again tomorrow, but lately they say theres nothing they can do and that shell be ill the rest of her life. Im not ok with that, because Im afraid that one day Ill find her dead of an aneurysm or stroke from all the sneezing, or that shell suffocate from the URI. Please, does anyone have any advice?
