Catawba County voters, it is that time again. The Precinct Meetings and County Convention are fast approaching. I hope those who are registered to vote will take note and seek out your Precinct Meeting as the GOP is ready to choose yet another Chairperson for the GOP. There are 2 candidates who have thrown their hats into the ring for this thankless position. I am throwing my support behind Ryan Kelly. Ryan has been involved in area politics and is one of the Young Republicans who has remained focused and active in the GOP. I view his youth as a very strong point as he has been able to bring young people into the GOP. Ryan also listens intently to Senior members of the GOP, takes counsel, and makes his decisions based on solid information. Ryan has set a solid slate of members who are willing to help him on the board. It is Ryan and those like him who enabled Catawba County to elect a rock solid Clerk of Superior Court and a District Attorney. He and the Young Republicans, teamed with senior regulars to unite the party and bring victory. His energy is much needed in our aging GOP and his visions are in line with young and old alike. I encourage you to reach out to Ryan and come out and support him in his bid for Catawba County GOP chair. Places, dates and times will be forth coming.
