Catherine and family are staying in County Durham, high up on the Fells and can report: a) there is a permanent freezing wind up here, b) the scenery is stunningly beautiful and Barnard Castle is lovely, and c) there dont appear to be any community cafes here, and no cafes that sell rocky road like ours (though most of the actual roads here could compete quite well with it!). Also, sheep have a death wish.
