This is the first and the most important of the commandments.....” “Love” is the synthesis of the Christian Scriptures and revelation. In the commandment of love are fulfilled all other laws and commandments, all rules and regulations. We love, of course, primarily God; but it is inseparable from our love of others or all humans. Christian love, evidently, also assumes attitudes of goodness and compassion to the more fragile, weak and broken human persons. For, the acceptance of Christian religion is primarily the acceptance of living the sole commandment of love after the manner of Christ.
